Summer time is here and its time for festival fun and rooftop season! While everyone is on the go during this season, it gets frustrating to plan a night out when there is constantly trendy new places to visit. So here is my little put together of the top three places in Chicago with a great view, good music and sweet wine.
Located in the loop at The Virgin Hotel, this sweet spot has the most breathtaking view of the city skyline. The rooftop wraps around half of the building, so you get a full view from all different angles. It has a very edgy feel to it, in similarity to the rest of the hotel. Funky furniture and colorful decor cover the interior of the bar, but the true beauty is the outside. Grab your friends, order the Bourbon Mule and soak in the city’s night life.
LondonHouse Chicago Riverwalk Hotel is known for its iconic architecture, and is one of the most historic buildings in the city. Right on the corner of Michigan Ave and Wacker Drive, the hotel outlines the Chicago River, making it a stunning architecture landmark of our time. The rooftop has an amazing view of the Magnificent Mile, and the other iconic city structures. You can dine indoors or outdoors here, both have the most beautiful decor. LH Rooftop even has an adorable afternoon tea time service.
Right on the Riverwalk, City Winery is a great place for a casual meal and a cocktail. Its perfect for a Sunday afternoon, or during the week to just sit back and relax. Boats dock right against the restaurants walk-way, so it is an easy way for people to get off board and grab something to eat. The whole area is open to walk around and mingle. With boats coming and going, it’s great to interact with others and listen to good music. The atmosphere is so light and fun- when you’re done, you can continue walking the rest of the River.
If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! I love finding new places to experience. Hope you guys take a visit to my favorite places and have an amazing summer!
