Last week I ventured out to visit one of the most up-and-coming ice cream joints in the city, and it was really worth the trip.
Gordo’s Ice Cream Store, located at 729 S Dearborn St, Chicago, created a build-your-own ice cream shop with their homemade ice cream. You can pick from a few different ice cream flavors, like salted caramel, coffee, pistachio, and they even sorbet for a dairy free option. Then, dip it white, milk, or dark chocolate or have it drizzled and load it up with different toppings! You get two toppings, I of course picked rainbow sprinkles and Oreos, but any topping you get, they will load it up and cover your entire ice cream. Pretty basic stuff, but the ice cream it’s self is amazing, which makes this shop so special.. It has a really great flavor, and the dipped chocolate has a unique taste to it as well, everything feels and tastes homemade.
Besides the great ice cream, it is one of the most Instagram-worthy spots so it makes it all worth it right?!
